And this month we had a small enough group that I decided to have a Make-n-Take for them to do!  Here it is, it's a CASE from a feature that I saw in a downline newsletter publication (published by www.craftyperson.com and www.stampingschool.com - contact them directly for more information about the services they offer). 

What was fun about this little gem is that it made me pull out my Stampin' Pastels, Aqua Painter and a few Stampin' Markers too!  I knew that you could do the watercoloring with the aqua painter and the markers ... and I knew that you could do the color wash BUT I had never tried it with the pastels!

I'm back and I have a secret to tell... and BLOG CANDY to give away!

Hello again!

As most of you know, I haven't been online as much as I usually am and I am hoping to make a return to my full time stamping now that I am feeling a bit better.  I injured my right knee back in October 2009 and finally had surgery (1st appt available) in the middle of January 2010.  So the past six weeks have been spent regrouping, getting rid of the crutches and brace and lots of Physical Therapy.  I was very blessed to have both of my parents come to stay with us for a month to help take care of me, the girls, the house, the meals and shopping, driving the kids and me to our appointments, etc...  I seriously do not know what we would have done on our own - so if you're reading this Mom and Dad, again another THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU LOTS!  The road to recovery will be a long journey (9 months) but I'm getting stronger each day and all in it's own time, right!

Other fun things with the family include my youngest daughter Rachel being awarded the Student of the Month at her middle school today!  Congrats Sweetheart!   And Nicole also celebrates today as she will compete in her first High School Track meet!  She ran cross country in the Fall and loved it and has been training during the off season and then into the pre-season training, and now it's really the season beginning!  I will be heading out to watch her in a little bit, Go Nicole!

With that out of the way, I want to catch you up on a few stamping things too!  Back in January I attended the annual Stampin' Up! Leadership Training Seminar and a one day Regional Event, which were luckily held here in Phoenix, Arizona so it made it very nice & easy!  Kind of my last "hoorah" before surgery!  One of the surprises for me was that Stampin' Up! had called and asked me to be a guest presenter at the regional event for their Workshop WOW presentations!  I was like, who me?  Seriously?  Am I being punc'd?  Well anyhow I decided to challenge myself to do it and stamp on main stage in front of cameras and about 1500 attendees!  YIKES! It was all good when it was just preparing things in my house!!  Ha, right!  Well, it was fun and I was pleased to do it and did just fine, although I wish I would have been able to look up and smile more, but instead I stayed focused on the projects thinking if thats what I was talking about then the camera would be on the projects and not on me... well I guess they float between the two camera's no matter what you're doing!  Oh well, live and learn that I guess you can't dodge the camera all the time!  I "promise" to upload the pictures from my regional demonstration soon.

It's been a busy couple of weeks!  The girls are heading back to school soon, lots of shopping and hair cuts and new do's!  Nicole has been busy with cross country running and Rachel has been busy dancing and doing auditions!  I've been busy working on stuff for convention and the house and all that fun stuff that seems to suck up all of our free time!

Last Day for F/W catalog!

I think I may just spend the day trying to trim down my wish list to see what makes it on the 1st order!  I can't decide, there's just SO much, I think Marlene (my leadership roomie and best buddy!) and I each had about 4 pages and no joke, a few thousand dollars worth of items!!  Lynda, I'm gonna be in BIG trouble!!

And for those of you that are wondering how my arm is doing.   if you remember that on Christmas Eve I found out that my current primary care doesnt take our insurance and apparently I didnt go to the doctor last year to already know this...  so try finding a new primary care between the holidays when office hours are short and docs are on vacation.  My arm is basically still the same, very sore, doesnt rotate at all.  So I came home from leadership to try and get in with a new primary care so I could get referred over to some physical therapy ... anyhow I got a couple referrals from friends and finally called when the office was open (I have a tendacy to call during lunch when no one is there or after hours) only to find out that yes they do take my insurance and yes they have a doctor that is accepting new patients but however the insurance company has informed the office that it will be mid-Feb before they can begin processing/billing...  WHAT?  are you kidding me?  So the SAGA of finding a doctor is still a pain in my you know what!

Anyhow... I know something will work out, hopefully sometime soon.  I just hate the thought of randomly picking a primary care from a generic list of providers.

As the new year rolls out, I have held my January team meeting and am spending some time trying to plan out my spring events & calendar of classes!  Stay tuned, there will be regular 101020 cards classes, stamp set classes that include a stamp set & projects, project classes and hopefully more too!  And did I mention the Big Shot Classes - I think there is so much this might have to become a series of classes to fit it all in!
