Finally the Fifth & Final Project!

Whew... I really wanted to type the Fifth & Final Froject just to see if your eyes are as tired as mine!  Diana and I are always on the lookout for cute little items to alter, templates or tutorials, and ideas to hoard for future events... we try to ALWAYS make each event our guests attend different from anything they've done with us before! 

These frames were found at Target, the "T" store (jk, ok so it's not really funny) and you must have to live in the boonies because I never once found any at the stores near me!  Diana found them all.  She designed the inside and I designed the outside!  A great team we are, we complement each other so well! 

They could use whatever flower they wanted, mine used Flower Fancy and Diana used Pretty Peony on hers.  The greeting is stamped on vellum paper and then the bottom border has the scallop border from the Lg Penant Die image.  The misc flowers are from the Sizzlit 4pk that came with the kit, misc scraps of DSP and the new fun decorative buttons!  They turned out pretty cute!  Okay, so if you are still reading and you've actually read ALL of the posts for today's projects - GO TO BED or get off the computer, you've been here too longgggggggggggggg!  No, seriously thank you for stopping by and staying for awhile!

Thirsty yet?

So, you've come back and you're wondering... I thought you said that was all for tonight... well he is really the CHAMP as he has already gone to pick up Rachel from ice skating and if Nicole calls while he's out... he'll swing by and grab Nicole too (and did i mention that he also offered to drive other girls home from the "movie night")... so I figured I'd better make good use of the quiet time!  Mind you, all of this was without me asking or saying a thing, oh and without any "looks" too!  He is a pretty good guy wouldn't ya say!!!  And if you can believe it he asked me while we were catching up over dinner, "Okay, so what's the plan for tomorrow?"  "How late will your event go?"  --- the greedy little stamper in me thought QUICK who can I call - who's house can I go stamp at tomorrow!!  But I fessed up and told him tomorrow I'd be home and we could have a normal kind of day!  Football Sunday, church (hey Eliz, see you there?), laundry and putting some supplies away --- and I need to crank out a few Bonus Swap Cards for those gals that got their Mini Catalog Swaps turned in early!

So when the stamping girls came in today, they had this fun little drink sitting at their spot along with their blotter sheet, which was covered with several of their goodies!  We greeted them as they came in the door, handed them their bag of other stuff!  This fun little drink tag uses the 20 year embossing plate from SU and some of the same paper as we were using today!  And a little lemonade to sugar them up if they needed a little energy.  Or as Diana said, to wash down the chocolate that was staring at them from the center of their tables!  Chocolate, stamping, friends, swaps, door prizes, ... hmmmm dont'cha wish you lived in AZ! 

And here is another project too!  Diana and I went shopping one day during our design and prep phase and we hit a few stores... Office Max for the CD cases, that "M" store but came up empty, and went into the "J" store too (aka Joanns or Joanns Etc) and we found these adorable Kiwi Kiss tins!  I swear we bought out all of them that didnt have any dents or scratches and came home to search for altered 3D items... you know - to get the ideas and juices flowing... well NOTHING came up that looked like these... so since Diana had handed off the "mathematical-y" CD cube to me, so I sent her home to come up with something cute for the tin!  She stumbled across the smashed bottle cap at PaperTrufflez.typepad.com (Julie Ebersole, oddly she is someone I met online during my 1st year with SU!) and we decided we were on a mission to FIND them locally (brewhouse supply store on Alma School & Baseline I think it was) and to have one on our project!  And it fits so nicely in the center of the smaller scallop circle from the 2 Scallop Circles sizzix die!  Wallah!!!  or Ta-dah!!!  We decided on the letter "B" so it could be a tin for Buttons, Bling, Brads, etc...

Oh and we used the larger scallop of the 2 Scallop Circles sizzix die for the lid of the can - call it a match made in stampers heaven!  It fit perfectttttttttt-ly!  The B is cut from DSP and layered onto the Longboard Chipboard which was also cut from the Serif Essentials Sizzix Alphabet!  Yah, add that to your list too! So hope you are enjoying these!  

Okay, there's more!

We found this cutie-pa-tootie template on Splitcoast Stampers in their Splitcoast Stampers Resources section.  It is called the "Flap Card" if you are interested in pulling up the file, just scroll down the list!  Absolutely LOVE that stampers are willing to share their tutorials and talents with one another!

We used the adorable little frog from "A Flower for all Seasons" stamp set (a must-have set, just go ahead and add it to your wishlist now) and watercolored with an aqua painter from the inside of the ink pad lids on watercolor paper.  It uses the new 1&3/4" circle punch and the SU! Lg Penant Die for the Big Shot - it is layered on the scallop circle that does not have the score line.  This is also the perfect size to hold a gift card!!  So i'm sure we'll be seeing many of this precious little guy going around!

And it is held shut with the small magnetic closure snaps which you can find at StarLit Studio, Hardware Section.

And another one, Marvelous CD photo cube

Here is the CD photo cube box that we did today.  We were inspired by seeing a few of these online at different bloggers on the net.  For a video, you can visit Paper Jewels CD Cube Tutorial. From there she has a lik to a video and some other instructions too, as well as a CD Photo Cube Carnival of others who have designed some and links to view theirs as well...

The photo cube can hold your mini albums!!

Okay, that's all for tonight!  You'll have to check back for more later!  Off to go have dinner (yes at 8pm) with my hubby!  He's been a great sport all day!  He had to deal with both of our girls had friends sleepover and of course I was up and out of the house before they even woke up, and he had to drive them to dance rehersal today for an upcoming Christmas Performance, and then by the time I got home, they both had plans for the evening and SUPER DAD even drove one to a friends house shortly after I got home, and then just a bit ago drove the other one to Ice Skating AND he stopped to pick us up dinner & he's cracked me open a cold one!  So I must get off of here and go enjoy a little "honey time"!!  Yes, he is for real and he's mine! ;-)  get yer own!  HaHa!

Time to get Smashed!

Well, it was a SMASHING good time today at our "Summer Smash Stamping Bash" event!  As promised here are pic's of our projects!  I'll have to come back and edit this post to provide some text to go with the pic's but I wanted to get the photos up (cuz we know that's what you're here for, huh!) so you could see what fun things we did today!

And I will be uploading pic's from the wonderful displays too, to my WEBSHOTS art gallery (in my left sidebar) and of the terrific swaps from the day too!  That I can assure will have to wait until much later tonight or most likely on Sunday.

The little flowers are made using the Birds, Flowers and Scallops little 4pc Sizzlit set that comes with the Big Shot starter kit, and uses the new decorative buttons too!  Paper is Muirfield DSP, kiwi kiss and pacific point ribbons, etc! 

Then this little page with the vanilla tafetta ribbon tied on it and the first page with ribbon as well, both pull out and have accordian style photo pages - so you can put 7 photos on one pull-out page.
I printed my photos to a 2.5"x3.5" size, fit 2 to a 4x6" photo paper size and then trimmed them down just a tad bit to fit on a piece of vanilla cs which is 2.5"x3.5" or a 3.5"x10" piece for the accordian pages.  sorry for the flash reflection in the photo...

Cute & Curly Punch Bundle Class

I've been working on cards for my upcoming "Cute & Curly Punch Bundle" card class that is coming up in October!  At this class each person will receive and use their very own punch bundle stamp set and coordinating punch!  For right now I have designed 5 cards but I may take liberty to swap them out or change them up a bit as I continue to play! ;-)  I also have a 3D item in mind too but I have to go on a shopping trip to see what I can find!  Some ideas are original and others are CASEd (Copy And Share <steal or stamp> Everything).  One of the cards combines ideas from a few of my favorite stamping friends (hey Marlene, Diana and Cindy) and I love it because it makes me think of each of them while I'm stamping (so I'm smiling too!).  There are so many sources for inspiration these days, it really does make stamping so easy!

The cute & curly set and punch bundle can be found on page 189, for $33.95 pre-tax & shipping ($40.45 including tax/ship).  The class fee is $40 and you need to register by Oct 12th at the very latest.  So you can look at this GREAT DEAL in two ways - you are either getting a discount on your purchase or you're getting a class free!  Either way, awesome deal!

Spooky Spiders Available Now!

A big day for you!

Hi there!

I know, it's been a few days (holy cow, almost a week is it? how'd that happen)and you've missed hearing from me, right?  Well, I have been busy with my 101020 card class last week, getting a swap card designed and completed for the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog and preparing with my buddy Diana for our large group event that is this Saturday, Summer Smash Stamping Bash!  Good news is that we are on track and doing great!  So the work has been worth it!  I am actually not late on anything right now (that I can think of!). 

Maybe I'll find some time to stamp a bit for ya later tonight.  In the mean time I am going to share a few things with you from last week!  And I will share the oh-so-cute projects from our event too, but sorry - y'all have to come back to see those after the event!  No surprise spoilen goin on here!

These are the cards from my 101020 Card Class last week, which is 10 different cards, supposed to be 10 minute cards (originally when the good ol' "101020" name was created) for $20 ... now let's just say, 10 cards/10 envelopes/20 dollars --- cuz that is more like it! 

I dont think I will have time to do complete card recipes for these, but if you have a question feel free to ask away and I'll try to answer them!  Go grab your diet coke, iced tea or iced coffee (if you're like me) or water for all my healthy readers and get comfy!  Some of the cards from class have been blogged earlier, as sneak peeks, so you may recognize a few from earlier messages!

Another Reveal

Well, another project gets checked off the "half-done, to-do list" and I'm so excited to finally share it with you!  We started out about a month ago getting together to play with our brand new Big Shots, remember back a couple weeks when I mentioned we started these banners and maybe I'd be able to show it in a little bit, was it really a month ago, hmmm.  Well it has had to sit to the side as I was kind of busy with other priorities and I was really letting the whole idea of what I wanted it to look like in its finished state sink in...  so ta-dah, here is my version of the "SpoOKy" banner!  It turned out really cute and I even found a place to display it - so it's really off the to-do list!
